KENYAN COFFEE PRICES DROP LAST WEEK ON NCE

Prices for Kenyan coffee dropped last week at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE) by a significant margin, sending a worrying signal to farmers about potential earnings.

The price of a 50kg bag dropped from Sh36,160 ($317.61) to Sh32,996 ($289.82). 

The highest grade of coffee rated AA, was being sold at Sh38,759 ($340.44), down from  Sh40,906 ($359.30) per 50Kg bag, while the lower grade AB dropped to Sh32,996 ($289.82) from Sh37,177 ($326.54)
