The Barista League, established in 2015, was created as a response to a need for more community-driven events in the coffee industry and have launched a new all-digital coffee conference called High Density.
The 1-day conference will take place on 9, March 2021 and is completely free! The digital event includes; panels, workshops, ‘brew-a-longs’ and discussions.
The line-up of speakers for High Density is packed with 30 different talks scheduled including a talk on sensory awareness from three-time UK Cup Tasters champion Freda Yuan.
There will also be talks on building a career in coffee, social media, advocacy, activism, green buying, coffee competitions, and just about everything else.
High Density is also offering 7 “interactive experiences” you can choose from. Although the coffee conference is free, the interactive experiences are $7 to join and includes a variety of coffees, teas, or alternative milks to drink along with the discussion.
For instance with the ‘Brew Like a Champion,’ attendees will receive 100g roasted by Five Elephant to brew alongside the champion brewers leading the course.
For the class with Caravela’s Aissatou Diallo on buying different quality grades, attendees will received 3 coffee samples and a cupping spoon to be used during the session.
