Scottish coffee roaster, Blendly Commercial Coffee Roaster, offers coffee lovers the chance to create their coffee mixtures and have them delivered to their doors. Because of the pandemic, the business is opening up to domestic coffee enthusiasts by selling coffee mixtures created by baristas and cafés to coffee lovers online.
The aim behind Blendly was to create a one-stop online coffee roasting and blending service for Baristas and cafés owners. After the national lockdown was announced, Mark Wilson, the owner, chose to open Blendly to customers of these cafés to either buy coffee mixtures created by their favourite cafés or create their own.
In the opening to domestic customers to buy coffee mixtures, the Blendly is giving businesses that are currently closed or operating at a reduced capacity to reach customers they might not usually be able to.
Customers to the Blendly website can start creating their coffee mixture or buy from ready-made batches. Designed combinations can be shared electronically with QR codes or referral links. Blendly offers both individual purchases and subscription service, Barista Home starting from £4.99 per month and commercial plans starting at £12.99 per month.
According to Blendly, customers are always looking out for products that identify with them, reflecting their character and personality, traits that are special to themselves. Blendly also added that the coffee market had grown notably over the past 20 years, and coffee combinations are consistently evolving to adapt to changing palates and preferences. These are among the many reasons why more and more people are switching from their usual coffee brands.
