Black Pod risk in the Sunyani West district, Ghana

The Sunyani West municipal district saw a dry anomaly in the last month. That said, the number of rainy days remain roughly in line with the climatological average (slightly above).

The district has also been wetter than usual since the resumption of rains in March. For what concerns the Black Pod disease, the pathogen had the possibility to spread more than average, and the recent dry anomaly did not temper its growth.
The climatic risk for Black Pod is presently slightly higher than the rest of Ghana, thus it requires close monitoring in the coming weeks.
