Costa Coffee tried different ways to stay open, but in the end, their own store managers set up a petition on change.org sent a clear message “It’s time to close”. My own Costa Coffee had stayed open, and talking with the staff, they were less than happy about it. The feeling was that they had to risk their health or facing losing their jobs. Many managers agreed and set up a petition on change.org to let Costa Coffee know how they feel.
Costa Coffee finally made the announcement and posted on their website “Our number one priority is the safety of our store teams and customers. As the need to support social distancing increases, we have taken the decision to temporarily close our stores from this evening, Monday 23 March. ”
