ESPRO BLOOM POUR-OVER BREWER GETS HOT RESULTS ON KICKSTARTER

Continuing with my Kickstarter obsession this week, this pour-over brewer stood out for two reasons. First, they had raised 360% of their target $16k. Second, the endorsements they were getting from credible figures such as Kaley Gann, who was the 2019 US Brewers Cup winner. In fact, she makes a video of it.

The nicely named Espro Bloom is a stainless steel pour-over brewer which if you’re quick you can still nab for as little as $35 (regular retail $45 – the cheaper packages are all sold out). It has a design which the founder’s claim makes a better brew in just 2 minutes, making it a more practical option for those of us in the morning that don’t have 7 minutes to make coffee before work.

The slightly cheesy smiles on the faces in the promo video, as they reached a level of ecstasy while sipping the freshly brewed coffee, that is no doubt unobtainable to someone without this device, failed to deter punters from backing this product in droves.

One of the things we do like is the option to use it with or without paper. It is always worrying when buying new products that solely rely on consumables that it will become defunct if the company stops supplying them.

The founders have certainly put together a very slick and serious-looking campaign around the product, including getting the design patented. Their Kickstarter page has loads of information about how the product works and they explain it very clearly, as with the diagram below:

If you want one, you need to click over to their page on Kickstarter soon as the campaign closes shortly. The product is due to ship in July.
