US Roaster Corp based out of Oklahoma City, USA just released a new 1KG roaster they call ‘Mini Rev’. One of the key objectives was to make it as smoke-free as possible, so it could operate inside without a vent!
The founder of US Roaster Corp, Dan Jolliff has been in the business since a ‘lad’ for over 50 years. Dan told Bartalks that the Mini Rev was the result of 4 years of work, and hinted at more products in the pipeline!
To achieve the almost smokeless production, they introduced an integrated catalyst which significantly reduces external smoking (see diagram below), and combined that with some additional innovations – see the list below.
We originally reported that the software supports Cropsters roaster software, but subsequently US Roaster Corp. reached out to us and confirmed the Min Rev will come with their own software tools free of charge.
They further pointed out that the tight integration of their hardware with the software gives unparalleled controls that may not be available with third-party tools. If you wish, they do provide the thermocouples and data bridge that will integrate with other applications.

- A unique catalyst design along with cyclone chaff removal allows for a perfect roast with significantly reduced exhaust smoke. This means that no vent is required to be run indoors!

- The Mini Rev is also well insulated in order to be efficient and reduce heat loss. This is a big advantage to customers roasting in a small cafe setting so the roaster will not heat up the room.
