Smile Coffee Werks has revealed the first-of-its-kind compostable coffee pods made from renewable resources with over 12-month shelf life. The trademarked innovation utilizes a plant-based, BPA-free cup and top, creating a commercially compostable coffee product.
The pods are suitable for Nespresso ® classic style coffee machine, BPI-certified, and commercially compostable in 12 weeks. The pods are made from renewable plant-based products, and they are the first carbon-neutral, single-step disposal product to hit the market.
Smile Coffee Werks is offered for purchase at SmileCoffeeWerks.com compatible with 100% Arabica Espresso pods (24 counts, $15.99). Smile plans to reveal Keurig ® compatible K-Cups ® in spring 2020.
