PADDY & SCOTTS LAUNCHES NEW COFFEE THAT ‘FEEDS THE CHILDREN’

Coffee Producer, Paddy & Scott’s, has taken coffee to a whole new level as it launches its new Lunchbox Coffee, where every bag sold buys one school meal for a child in need.

The coffee firm, which is based in Suffolk, has spent the last year developing this new product and carefully selecting three coffee-growing regions to work with to create Lunchbox, an expertly-blended coffee from India, Brazil and Vietnam.

“This kind of project has never happened before; it’s a game changing coffee for a variety of reasons,” explains Scott Russell, founder and CEO at Paddy & Scott’s. “We have chosen to work with three countries where hunger is a struggle and for every bag of coffee we sell we will fund a free school meal to a child in India, Vietnam or Brazil.”

Lunchbox coffee is a blend from the three country’s harvest which, as Scott explains, gives the brand flexibility against climate change. “Global warming is a huge challenge for coffee production. Heavy rain or drought can literally wipe out a harvest in a region. A blend allows us to combat this. Single origin is becoming untenable and we want to create a brand that is always available and continues to feed children a hot meal across the world,” he continues. “We believe the provenance of Lunchbox coffee, and the ethical nature of the brand, will make it one of the most exciting launches in the market.”

Paddy & Scott’s produces a range of coffee and its Jerry Can, which recently was named in The Independent’s Top Ten Coffee List, is a community coffee that supports projects in Kenya.
