Lavazza Professional, the UK-based Lavazza subsidiary, has recently showcased its micro workplace café “The Moments” to provide a range of refreshments in a quick, easy manner, making the back-to-office transition as inviting for employees as possible.
The concept aims to bring “the best elements of coffee culture into the workplace” hassle-free. Lavazza Professional cited research wherein many employees feel that high-quality coffee increases productivity and morale at the workplace.
The Moments includes professional bean-to-cup coffee machines for espresso-based beverages and several smart fridges with built-in payment systems. Employees will then have traditional food and drink options readily available to them. Payments can be made on unattended payment stations in the central kiosk or via a smartphone app.
Lavazza Professional believes such an approach is an important facet of the post-pandemic work environment when the transition from work-at-home to return-to-office setup can be difficult and even undesirable for employees. New options such as The Moments may help companies attract and retain talent.
We are delighted to be bringing this new offer to [the] market. Whether it is time spent getting to know new colleagues, collaborating on new ideas and projects, or quiet time prepping for a productive afternoon, every moment counts.
Ashley Weller, UK Market Director, Lavazza Professional
The company has already opened its first Foodies-On-The Go concept for air travel at East Midlands Airport, UK. The concept is similar to The Moments as it offers travellers food and beverages using “smart fridge technology, including self-serve hot beverages from Lavazza, Selecta’s coffee partner.”
