Hydric resilience in the Oyo-Iwo region (Nigeria)

The precipitations over the cocoa regions between Oyo and Iwo in Nigeria were sufficient to cover the plants’ needs but 30% below normal.

This translates to an extremely low accumulated water resilience of 4-7 days, depending on the temperatures of the coming days.

However, the climatology for this region is reassuring, as June and July are normally extremely wet, thus there is still room for improvement ahead of the little dry season.
