During intensive research into the Cocoa Beans industry, we stumbled across this article which we weren’t expecting. Minecraft now supports Cocoa Bean production, and in an update, it became sustainable too!
“For only this snapshot, cocoa beans have now been given a small (0.5%) chance of dropping from destroyed jungle tree leaves in a similar fashion to apples from oak leaves, which makes cocoa beans renewable for the first time. ”
