Christopher Rogers, Managing Director of UK-based Costa, has formally started construction of ‘Paradise Street,’ a roastery in Basildon in Essex in the UK that is being built at a cost of in excess of £36 million. The former Prologis Park on Christopher Martin Road will be transformed into a state-of-the-art roastery supporting Costa’s national and international growth.
The new roastery is an extension of Costa’s current roastery on Old Paradise Street in Lambeth, London, which has been roasting coffee for over 30 years. The new roastery is due to open in early 2017.
