CHOCOLATE CONFERENCE PLANNED FOR NOVEMBER

A new conference for the international chocolate industry will take place in London later this year.

The 2011 Confection Expo will showcase new products and act as a networking event for industry leaders. Keynote speeches will be given by some of the world’s biggest brands, including Mars, Cadbury, Chocolate Halba, Ashbury Chocolates, Cemoi, and Fredericks Dairies.

Up to 2,000 visitors, including 500 exhibitors and delegates, are expected to attend the event, which takes place November 29-30 at the Kensington Conference and Events Centre. Entrance is free to trade visitors.

The event is the brainchild of Angus Kennedy, the editor of Kennedy’s Confection and widely regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on the wider confection industry.

He said: “At last, an exhibition and international manufacturing conference, designed for industry leaders to meet each other, network, exchange ideas and do business. It is an opportunity to meet fellow producers from all around the world at a low cost and in an informal, relaxed environment.”
