BÜHLER TO HOST VIRTUAL EXHIBITION

Even though this year’s Interpack event is delayed, Bühler is planning to keep the dates from 11-15 May, as the company organizes a virtual trade show under the slogan “Creating food sensations.”

Invitations have been sent to everyone who had planned to travel to Düsseldorf. Through this experience, the customers can join the Bühler’s virtual booth online, meet Bühler experts and salespeople in chat rooms, enter technical presentations online, or get inspired by new end-product compositions.

Germar Wacker, CEO of Bühler’s Consumer Foods business, stated that there were so many challenges and possibilities in the consumer foods market today that deserved new solutions. He also added that Bühler wants to invite all their customers to explore these solutions in a completely new and virtual format, which also allows individual discussion.

At Interpack, Bühler planned to display its full range of processing solutions along the entire value chain. Under the slogan “Creating food sensations,” the goal was to inspire customers with innovative end products and to present sustainable innovations that help reduce waste, water, and energy usage in the bakery, chocolate, confectionery, and roasting industries.

However, the company stated that it also wanted to display new solutions for food safety, healthy ingredients, and higher efficiency. Since the last Interpack three years ago, the company said it had put considerable efforts and investments into innovation to meet the growing demands of the market and its customers, for example, with significantly higher energy-efficient solutions and less waste.

Wacker also said that though Bühler will be unable to showcase its latest innovations in person, in every challenge is an opportunity. In a changing world, perhaps people will discover that virtual tradeshows offer efficient, impressive, and modern platforms to communicate and exchange about the developments and state-of-the-art solutions for a successful future of the consumer food markets.
